What's changed in MatrixPilot 5.0.2

  • MatrixPilot now supports the use of the magnetometer and barometer together in the AUAV3
  • A new feature called Static Offsets allows the HMC5883 magnetometer to be correctly calibrated.
  • New OSD features; Conditional compilation of RSSI blinking feature and threshold configuration. Added #defines for enable/disable RSSI Blinking feature. RSSI signal will blink when the signal strength drops below a threshold.
  • Added code to make OSD_NUM_SATS flash when Satellites in View (SVS( is less than a configurable value
  • I2C2 clock made independent of cpu clock speed.
  • Barometer now returns correct pressure. Note: users must be careful to shield the BMP180 from sunlight.
  • New feature TEST_INTERRUPT_PRIORITY_TIMINGS allows Interrupt Priority Levels and their timings to be viewed on the servo output pins with an 8 channel logic analyser.
  • IDE project generator updated for MPLAB-X projects to be correctly made.
  • Flight analyser now shows all variables relating to speed consistently in meters / second.
  • long_scale() math library had a bug fixed. It now returns the bottom 2 bits of it's returned value. This improved cross tracking, and the calculation of locationErrorEarth.
  • Flight analyser: added new column to show GPS AO (GPS Height Above Origin) in csv the file.
  • Ublox GPS dynamic model is now configured automatically to "Airborne < 4g" rather than the previous "Automotive" model. This will improve the dynamics of GPS altitude when diving or climbing fast for users of Ublox GPS units.
  • A slew of potential bugs fixed using the Coverity static scan system. Look for Coverity in the commits logs for further details.
  • Flight Analyser now populates the locationErrorEarth columns (LEX,LEY,LEZ) when using mavlink.
  • More test build configuration have been added to the Travis build system that is used by developers when they submit pull requests. This helps us developers to catch build issues from new commits to the code.
  • HILSIM compilations improved.

      • Update flan serial_udb_extra parser to understand new F2: format for in-line waypoint data.
      • Racing: re-base time automatically so all race flights pass the race start pylon at midday exactly on 11/11/2011
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Improved the failsafe code to make it less sensitive to an occasional invalid pulse.
    • Magnetometer : fixed a nasty bug in the UDB4 mag driver that would change the accelerometer range

    • Fix bugs in NORADIO option to allow GPS acquisition to occur and allow red LED to flash during gyro calibration

What's New in MatrixPilot 3.2.1

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the rudder channel to pull to one side while in RTL mode when using an RC receiver without failsafe.
